How to network in the age of COVID?

Remember those old good times when you just signed up for a huge event in London? You usually went through one of those massive doors and saw a crowd of people chatting and discussing current affairs as there was no tomorrow. Well, as we all know… it’s not possible anymore and it will still be like that for at least a few more months in the UK.
What are the alternatives?
1. LinkedIn
You can still connect with people on LinkedIn from your job, university or join LinkedIn groups. Although this allows you to meet a lot of people in a short amount of time, it is quite difficult to build trust on the Internet which we were able to create in the pre-pandemic world.
2. Online conferences
Alternatively, you can participate in online conferences to make more connections. You can choose a theme you like i.e. entrepreneurship, sales, economics etc. and then look for the events which focus on those topics. However, the biggest problem is that many of those events are not interactive. You can only ask questions to the organisers so it’s really hard to make new connections there.
3. Join OKE Club
OKE Club was created exactly to solve these problems. On 25th of April, we completed our first networking event where current and future entrepreneurs met together. 26 individuals had amazing conversations about their businesses and future plans. It allowed them to create long lasting friendships and get inspired from well experienced entrepreneurs.
Follow us on our social media as we will publish more information about our future events soon!
